Marissa Schultz
Visual Development, Character Designer, Animator
I am a graduate of Villa Maria College with a B.F.A in animation. Originally I was studying to be a Veterinary Technician and in my third year, I realized I didn't really have the passion for medicine. Art has always been a passion of mine I have been drawing since I could remember and after a bit of soul-searching, I decided to follow my true passion animation.. Growing up with mental illness I've always viewed art as an escape creating worlds and characters of my own. Many of my projects feature themes of anxiety, depression, self-worth, and isolation. Working with more hand on traditional mediums has been helping me cope with the sudden loss of my long-term partner. For my recent projects I’ve drawn my inspiration from love and moments we share together, grieving the last year, and the desire to keep going and live my life to the fullest. I enjoy the fantasy and horror genres and have been working recently on developing my anatomy skills and my visual development skills.
